I love primitives. And yes, extreme prim too! My husband isn’t big on prim so I have a limited amount in our home. But my daughter, Tracy and her husband, Bryan love primitives and grungy antiques even more. Their home is wonderfully prim. We love going ‘teeking to find that one prim piece we can’t live without.

I sew primitive items…mainly ornaments, pillows, stitcheries, make dos and sitters. I used to do craft shows but now I just sell to several shops and every now and then on ebay. I have been sewing since I was 12. I learned to sew on my aunt’s treadle sewing machine. Oh how I wish I had that machine today!

I also like to knit…mainly slippers and afghans. One year I knitted 8 afghans to give as Christmas gifts. I have knitted so many pairs of slippers I would guess over 500. My mom taught me to embroider and I love doing primitive redwork. I have also made a couple Trip-Around-the-World quilts.
About 10 years ago I took a tole painting class from a published author. She had classes in her basement. There were about 8 of us and we had so much fun. I was so surprised how easy it was to tole paint. That Christmas my hubby got me a scroll saw and I started cutting my own wood.
